The ingredients needed to make Crispy poha snack:
- Get 2 cup thin poha
- Take 1 cup murmura
- Prepare Handful peanuts
- Prepare 2-3 dry red chilis
- Take Oil mustard & curry leaves for seasoning & turmeric
This Roasted Poha Chivda is healthier than store bought the poha and nuts are oven roasted to minimize the use of oil is easy to make makes the perfect tea time snack. For this roasted poha chivda recipe, I have used thin poha. It is very important to keep this in mind, do not use thick poha for this recipe. This is a Maharashtrian style quick and tasty dry snack made from thin poha (flattened rice), dry fruits, peanuts, and spices.
Instructions to make Crispy poha snack:
- In a heavy bottom pan add 2 tbsp of oil & season with mustard, curry leaves
- Add peanuts & fry them for few seconds. Add chillies & 1/4 tsp of turmeric.
- Add poha & murmura & salt to the mixture of seasoning & mix well. On a low flame cook for about 10 mins stirring every 1 to 2 mins.
- Take a bite to check if the mixture is crispy or hard. If it is hard then it needs to be on low flame for few more mins.
