How To Make Vegan Waffles First start by adding the flour, sugar, baking powder, oil/applesauce and almond milk into a medium mixing bowl, and mix well to combine (above left picture). Next, using a ½ measuring cup, scoop up the batter and pour in the center of a preheated waffle maker (above right picture) and close the lid. Load your waffles with a ton of toppings, if desired. You could drizzle them in maple syrup, whipped cream, vegan butter, lemon curd, fresh berries, sliced bananas, vegan Nutella, slivered almonds, or caramel drizzle.

Steps to make Vegan Waffles:
  1. Make the “egg” by combining the warm water and ener(g) together. In a separate bowl add milk and vinegar. Set aside.
  2. Melt the coconut oil.
  3. In a separate bowl mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar
  4. Combine all the wet ingredients and pour into the dry ingredients. Do NOT overmix!!!
  5. Spray or lightly brush oil in preheated waffle iron.
  6. Scoop waffle batter onto the iron. I use a 4 oz ice cream scoop.
  7. Cook until golden brown and serve!
  8. Alternatively. Allow it to thoroughly cool on a wire rack and wrap in heavy duty tin foil and freeze. When ready to eat, pop it in the oven with tinfoil and allow it to heat thoroughly at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. This allows it to keep the moisture in while crisping it back up again!

Load your waffles with a ton of toppings, if desired. You could drizzle them in maple syrup, whipped cream, vegan butter, lemon curd, fresh berries, sliced bananas, vegan Nutella, slivered almonds, or caramel drizzle. If you really want to make this into a savory meal, make my vegan "chicken" for maple syrup-drenched vegan chicken and waffles! Mix the nut milk, vanilla extract and the lemon juice or ACV together in a small bowl/measuring cup. In a large bowl, sift the flour, baking powder and salt.
